What’s your biggest business highlight to date?

Getting to work with so many amazing couples. I love getting to know them and feel so privileged to create something special for their wedding day. It's always an incredible feeling.

What top tips would you give someone organising their event or wedding?

Invest in good suppliers, don't cut corners, they can make or break your wedding. Suppliers have worked on their craft. They are going to keep you calm, make you smile and make sure you enjoy your wedding day. Oh and make sure you set a budget so you can prioritise  where you invest your money on what's important to you.

What inspired you to get into event and wedding planning?

I've always worked in creative industries and was drawn to the joy and happiness of a wedding day, and knew it was something I wanted to pursue a career in.

What advice would you give to a couple who are planning their big day without a wedding planner?

Be super organised! Create lists, spreadsheets or something which makes sure you're on top of things, don’t leave things to the last minute. For example you should ask for food choices and RSVP back 2 months prior, leaving you a month to chase those who don’t reply, because there are always a few stragglers.

How do you make sure you are able to create the event that your client has been dreaming of?

Great question, mainly by listening to their ideas and vision for their event, creating mood boards, researching ideas. I work with them and their budget to see how we can maximise it. I try to suggest suppliers who I know will be able to create and execute the style they are looking for. It’s definitely a collaboration and having the best team possible is key.

What’s your favourite part about working with your client?

My favourite part definitely has to be seeing everything coming together on the day, after months of planning. I love the set up, making sure everything is perfect and I get to see my couples enjoying their wedding day. There's no better feeling!
