Tell us a little bit about you and your business

I am self taught letterpress printer, specialising in luxury wedding, business and personal stationery. All my stationery is printed by hand and my wedding stationery is printed on my vintage press from the 1920s. Letterpress printing began in the 15th century, and the technique create a beautiful impression into 100% cotton thick paper. As well as letterpress printing I also specialise in hot foil printing, which uses many foils, including gold and silver.

What three words would you use to describe your business?

 Luxury. Fun. Personal

What’s your biggest business highlight to date?

Working with so many couples ahead of their big wedding day to create bespoke stationery suites. I have been lucky enough to design wedding stationery for couples getting married in the UK, France, Spain and Bali.

What top tips would you give someone organising their event or wedding?

Your wedding stationery is going to be the first glimpse your guests will get for your big day, so working with the right stationery designer is key. Pinterest is a great way to start to learn what you would want to include for your wedding stationery or not. Learning what you don’t want is just as important as knowing what you do like. Giving a designer a starting point is priceless and helps to keep design time and therefore costs to a minimum. This said if you aren’t sure where to start then a good designer will be able to ask you to right questions and guide you to create the most beautiful stationery. Another great piece of advice, is to start planning as soon as you can. There’s a lot to think about, but anything you can get cracking with, will help you in the long run. A full bespoke set of wedding stationery may take up to 4 months from initial contact to receiving your suite, so start looking for a stationery designer as soon as you can.

Where do you get your inspiration from for your Wedding Stationery designs?

I use to be a fashion designer, so take inspiration from styles within fashion that I am drawn too. Whether that be a minimal yet elegant style, or whether it be something more floral and delicate.
