TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
As the Apprentice here at Blackfriars, it is my role to help with the running of events, making sure every event is extra special and that all guests go away happy. Between events, I am looking after the site and sharing my knowledge of this magnificent monument with the public.

HOW LONG HAVE YOUR WORKED AT BLACKFRIARS?
I became part of the team in 2022.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKING DAY FOR HEBE LOOK LIKE?
The only typical thing about working at Blackfriars is that you never know what to expect from one day to the next. The variety is one of the things I love most about the job.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT FROM YOUR TIME AT BLACKFRIARS SO FAR?
Nothing beats seeing everything come together for a wedding. I’ve yet to experience a ceremony that hasn’t made me tear up a little.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE OF THE PRIORY?
That would be the Scriptorium. It showcases so many original features and it’s easy to imagine how it would have looked back in the Thirteenth Century. Stepping in there is like stepping back in time.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Outside of work, you will usually find me partaking in one of my many creative hobbies or at a dance class.

YOU’RE AT A WEDDING… WHAT SONG GETS YOU UP ON THE DANCEFLOOR?
Honestly, it’s hard to keep me off the dance floor! But throw on any classic disco tunes and I’m up there.

IT’S A RELAXED SUNDAY AFTERNOON… WHAT FILM DO YOU POP ON?
Probably a Disney classic, always with a strong cup of tea.

TELL US A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF:
I got into the events industry through volunteering at festivals and Comic Cons.
