TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
As Visitor Experience Assistant, I help ensure events and weddings run smoothly, making sure every visitor enjoys their time as well as keeping the site clean and tidy. 

HOW LONG HAVE YOUR WORKED AT BLACKFRIARS?
I joined the team in August 2023. 

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKING DAY FOR MOLLY LOOK LIKE?
Every day is a little different depending on the event, but regardless of what’s happening, plenty of sweeping is involved! 

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT FROM YOUR TIME AT BLACKFRIARS SO FAR?
I most enjoy assisting at weddings, and I can’t help but get a little teary when hearing the speeches or watching the first dance. It’s rewarding to know we help make the couples’ special day the best it can be. 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE OF THE PRIORY?
Every part is beautiful, but I especially like the North Range and all the history it holds, in particular the pairs of paw prints left in concrete towards the front of the lower range. 

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I love taking my dog on walks in nature or doing anything creative, like drawing or playing my guitar. 

YOU’RE AT A WEDDING… WHAT SONG GETS YOU UP ON THE DANCEFLOOR?
It has to be any ABBA song that gets me on my feet! 

IT’S A RELAXED SUNDAY AFTERNOON… WHAT FILM DO YOU POP ON?
I’m a big film fan so it’s hard to pick but it would probably come down to a toss-up between Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz.
