TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
My role as an apprentice at Blackfriars is to help put on a variety of events making sure they all run smoothly, and everyone goes away happy. When events aren’t taking place, I am on site making sure Blackfriars is looking at its best. 

HOW LONG HAVE YOUR WORKED AT BLACKFRIARS?
I am new to the Blackfriars team, I joined in May 2021.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKING DAY FOR HEBE LOOK LIKE?
I don’t think there is a typical working day at Blackfriars. One day I could be working an amazing cocktail evening in the Scriptorium, the next I could be resetting the site and preparing for a wedding.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT FROM YOUR TIME AT BLACKFRIARS SO FAR?
So far, the Scriptorium cocktail evening has been my highlight. It was amazing to see the Scriptorium transformed.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE OF THE PRIORY?
There are so many little features that I am discovering every day, but now my favourite feature is the cloister garden. The moment you walk through the gates on a sunny day to see this peaceful hidden garden is amazing.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Outside of work there is nothing I enjoy more then going for walks and discovering new, exciting places to explore.

YOU’RE AT A WEDDING… WHAT SONG GETS YOU UP ON THE DANCEFLOOR?
I will dance to any song… especially after a few wines.

IT’S A RELAXED SUNDAY AFTERNOON… WHAT FILM DO YOU POP ON?
As long as it’s not a horror film, I’m not fussy. I love watching all kinds of films.

As a side job I am an artist, I paint detailed paintings of insects.
