Tell us a little bit about you and your business

Hi I’m Jules and I am a freelance events planner having graduated last year with a BA 1st Hons. in Events Management. I am a busy mum to 2 young children and when I’m not working at festivals or coordinating weddings, you can find me in the study helping them with school work; in the kitchen cooking up a fusion curry; or decorating my home with lots of colour. I am currently studying a Master’s degree.

My business Emerge Events was developed alongside studying for my degree and I organise mainly local wedding fairs and fundraising events. My flagship event is a lifestyle event called Living Your Best Life which I roll out through Gloucestershire and it is designed to support small businesses and get them back into the community.

What three words would you use to describe your business?

Innovative. Unique. Forward-thinking .

What’s your  biggest business highlight to date?

Launching my flagship event in 2021.

What inspired you to get into event planning?

I had always wanted to do a degree and when I decided I needed a change of career (after a long career in beauty therapy as a salon owner), I decided to embrace my love of organising and get in touch with my creative side and what better way than events planning?

What drew you to organise events at Blackfriars?

I was looking for a venue to host wedding fairs and when I saw the photos of Blackfriars online it looked so beautiful, I decided I had to find out more about this central venue I had never even visited before!

Anything exciting coming up?
